What Specifically Happens During a Hypnosis Session?
This section tells you briefly about our sessions. During a hypnosis session, a certified hypnotist helps you refocus your thoughts in a desired direction. Realize that you may experience individual hypnosis sessions differently from each one. Depending on your specific needs for each session, the results will apply to what you need for each visit. However, there are some basic commonalities to all hypnosis sessions.
Sessions normally begin with a conversation whereby the hypnotist learns more about the client. This is called the pre-talk part of the session or pre-interview.
During this part of the session the client develops a trusting rapport with the hypnotist. After the hypnotist finds out more details about the client’s issue or challenges, the client is guided into a hypnotic mind state.
The beginning part of a hypnosis session is called the induction. During the induction, the client relaxes and listens to the hypnotist suggesting that the client relax. It is during this relaxation experience that the hypnotic process helps the client to clear his or her mind (partially or fully) of distracting, self-limiting or self-sabotaging ideas.
After the client resolves the issue in his or her mind, the hypnotist suggests that the client return to a state of wakeful awareness. The client returns to wakeful awareness seeing the original upsetting situation differently. Often, the client no longer feels troubled about the issue. This is the amazing value of investing in a hypnosis session with a trained hypnotist. And, commonly, the client sees amazing improvement in life quality in just one session.
